Born and raised in Georgia, I began drawing at an early age. I never stopped drawing and learning. While most kids used Art class as an easy grade, I longed for those moments I could spend accessing my creative side. Experimenting with different styles, acrylic to ink, collage to clay, I discovered that creating was a great passion of mine. After graduating high school, I decided I wanted to do graphic design, inspired by the art and design put into everything around us. However, a wrong turn led me to pursuing another field and, ultimately, dropping out of college. And, until the Fall of 2014, the graphic design bug laid mostly dormant. The artists and community I found on Instagram reignited that passion and I began pursuing it. Having no real funds to invest in top-name programs, such as Illustrator didn't hold me back. I discovered the freeware program, Inkscape, and got to work. I read and watched tutorials every free moment, I enrolled in Skillshare classes, I experimented. I used skills I learned through drawing and painting, combined with the new skills I had learned, to begin creating. Whether it was digital art or redesigning logos for existing companies (or just making up an imaginary brand), I began to develop my skills as a graphic designer. Today, I am still pursuing that passion, one design at a time.
